AAA-Driver's Ed. Class
The next Driver's Education class to be offered by AAA at Rock Hill High School is scheduled for December 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 from 12:00 - 4:15. Students will need to pick up an application (avaliable Dec 1) in room 207, have it signed, and bring it to room 207 at the High School. Limited space is available and we have a first come - first serve basis.
Students that are 15 1/2 need to get their permits as soon as possible. Permits must be held at least 6 months before the student can take their driver's test. You do not have to have your permit to take the class. The Rock Hill Board of Education has been paying the fee for the Rock Hill Students, but will be changing Jan. 1, 2010. This is a great deal. After Jan 1,2010 the price will be $275 for non-members and $250 for members of AAA.
Upon completing 24 hours of class and receiving 75% or higher on the exam, students will then be scheduled for 8 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Upon Passing both (the class and driving) the student will be issued a certificate from AAA.
NOTE: Receiving a certificate does not guarantee that you will pass your driver's license exam with the State of Ohio.
Thanks to Mr. Bullion & Shop Class
Mr. Bullion and the shop class have made a set of poles that can be used to practice the maneuverability part of the Driver's Test. These poles are located at the 300 wing entrance by the teacher's parking lot. White dots have been painted on the parking lots for students to use during after school hours. All we ask is that you return the poles to the entrance when finished. These are on a first come first serve availability. Good luck!!
